Conducting Successful Pilot Projects
Pilot projects offer opportunities for resources and offerings aimed at the general public to test ways of being more accessible, more responsive, and more relevant for Calgary’s diversity. This resource is for any individual, group or organization (i.e. actors) that plays a role in making Calgary a great place to live. It can help actors plan and carry out pilots that test innovations, build partnerships, or trial ideas already working in other areas or sectors. It includes information about what makes pilot projects successful, pitfalls to avoid, and a checklist for successful pilot projects. It also offers learning opportunities through nine case studies of real pilot projects carried out in different contexts.
