Plan Your Vote

Calgary Public Library and Elections Calgary have created a Plan My Vote tool to help Calgarians vote in just four simple steps. Plan My Vote helps you find your polling station and creates a customized voting plan that you can print or email to yourself to add to your digital calendar.

Who Can Vote?

To vote in the Calgary Municipal Election, you must:

  • Be a Canadian citizen

  • Be at least 18 years old on election day

  • Be a resident on election day

  • Prove your identity and address

Even if you can’t vote, you can still get involved in Calgary’s democracy! You can attend election events to meet candidates and ask questions that matter to you, or you can even apply to work at a polling station.
